Hi. My name is Miriam Comber.
I’m a student at the OCA (Open College of the Arts), now part of the OU.
I’m interested in how we live alongside AI, in particular Emotional AI which looks to code our emotions. This is a field that makes claims that it can help users by providing insight into what people are feeling and, sometimes, their character. I’m not anti AI, it has given us lots of benefits and has the potential to make the world better. However, I think it’s important to call out problems where they exist and to help make people aware of what is happening.. I think Emotion AI is misguided and potentially harmful.
